For Minority Physicians
Help the next generation of physicians during career, wellness event
Join your colleagues for an AMA Doctors Back to School event from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Central time June 15 at Malcolm X College in Chicago. The event, a joint effort by the AMA Minority Affairs Section (MAS) and the AMA Medical Student Section, will feature activities for 300 freshmen entering Chicago Public Schools' Health Science Academy Program.
Volunteers are needed. Register online or by contacting the AMA-MAS via email or at (312) 464-4743.
The event will be held in conjunction with the AMA-MAS meeting, which will take place at 5 p.m. Central time June 15 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago prior to the Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates.
Volunteers needed for mock medical school interviews
The AMA Minority Affairs Section (MAS) will hold mock medical school interviews from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Central time June 16 at AMA headquarters in Chicago. Physicians will educate pre-med students from Chicago State University on the fundamentals of interviewing for admission to medical school.
