ECFMG certification to require medical school accreditation
Physicians applying for certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) will be required to graduate from an accredited medical school beginning in 2023. Medical schools must be accredited using criteria established by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education or other globally accepted criteria, such as those put forth by the World Federation for Medical Education.
Visit the ECFMG website for more information.
