News for International Medical Graduates
CME activity will examine how to handle challenges in leadership
All members of the AMA International Medical Graduates (IMG) Section are invited to attend the Busharat Ahmad, MD, Leadership Development Program, which will take place June 18 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Renato Alarcon, MD, of the Mayo Clinic's department of psychiatry and psychology will discuss best practices for handling challenges in leadership.
Physicians can earn continuing medical education (CME) credit in the form of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for participating. The program will take place in conjunction with the AMA-IMG Section Annual Assembly Meeting and the Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates.
AMA-IMG Section Governing Council election results are in
Lt. Col. Ronit Ben Abraham Katz, MD; Sabesan Karuppiah, MD; and Andres Deik, MD, are the three newest physician members of the AMA International Medical Graduates (IMG) Section Governing Council. The three received the most votes during the section's governing council election. Dr. Katz and Dr. Karuppiah will hold regular governing council positions, while Dr. Deik will fill the resident seat on the council.
The section thanks all who voted in this year's election. Details about the 2013 election will be announced in January.
