AMA-WPC election begins soon

AMA-WPC election begins soon

Help the AMA Women Physicians Congress (WPC) fill two physician vacancies as well as resident and student positions on the group's governing council by voting in this year's governing council election. An encrypted ballot will be emailed to AMA-WPC members on April 9. Email the AMA-WPC by April 2 to ensure that the group has your email address.

The election will close at midnight Central time April 23. If you have questions about the election, email Cynthia Norwood of the AMA-WPC or call her at (312) 464-4743. 

AMWA to host women physicians in Miami

Women in medicine are invited to attend the 97th annual meeting of the American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) April 13–15 in Miami. Session topics range from mentoring and breaking the glass ceiling to issues in global women's health such as stroke risk, cardiovascular disease, the human papilloma virus and advances in imaging.

This meeting also is the triennial meeting of the Medical Women's International Association – North America. Visit the AMWA website for more information.
