News for Senior and Retired Physicians
Papers wanted for JAMA's upcoming issue on medical education
Physicians are invited to submit manuscripts to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) for its December theme issue on medical education. Topics of interest include continuing professional development, physician re-entry programs, the appropriate use of medical literature and the use of interdisciplinary approaches to learning.
To receive highest priority, submissions should be original research papers, systematic reviews and scholarly viewpoints addressing medical education. Manuscripts received by May 15 will have the best chance of being considered. Visit the JAMA website for more information.
Share your senior physician group's story with the AMA
If you are part of a smaller, local senior physician group and would like to see it profiled online, share the group's activities with the AMA Senior Physicians Group (SPG). During the past five years, the AMA-SPG has located more than 50 smaller groups of senior physicians throughout the country, accounting for more than 6,000 senior physicians.
