Open seats available on the AMA-WPC Governing Council

The AMA Women Physicians Congress (WPC) is looking to fill several positions on its governing council. This spring, the AMA-WPC membership will elect two at-large members to serve two-year terms beginning in June. Nomination forms for these positions are due Friday. A representative of the AMA Residents and Fellows Section (RFS), nominated by the AMA-RFS and elected by the AMA-WPC membership, will serve a two-year term. Nominations for this position must be submitted to the AMA-RFS by Friday.

A representative of the AMA Young Physicians Section (YPS), nominated by the AMA-YPS and elected by the AMA-WPC membership, will serve a two-year term. Nominations for this position must be submitted to the AMA-YPS by Friday.

Apply for AMA-YPS Community Service Award by April 30

Women physicians who are also members of the AMA Young Physicians Section (YPS) are invited to submit nominations for the AMA-YPS community service award. Through this award, the AMA-YPS strives to not only recognize and encourage excellence in community service, but to facilitate similar efforts by other young doctors.

Nominations are due April 30. Award recipients will be selected based on the following: positive effect on a given community or population; thoroughness of program/project planning and implementation; and completeness/comprehensiveness of information submitted.
