The JAMA Network® more accessible globally through new collaboration

Cutting-edge medical research from The JAMA Network® is now more readily available to the international medical community, thanks to the publication of select content in four additional languages on two leading medical education websites.

A new collaboration between The JAMA Network and global pharmaceutical company Merck, known as MSD outside the United States and Canada, is bringing select author videos, articles and abstracts from the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and the nine specialty JAMA Network journals to international readers in English, Spanish, French, Italian and Mandarin.

"We are publishing some of the best medical research in the world," JAMA Editor-in-Chief Howard Bauchner, MD, said in a news release, "and this collaboration provides a way for our scientific information from The JAMA Network to reach physicians and health care professionals internationally for whom English is not their primary language."

Together the Merck Medicus™ and Univadis® medical education websites reach health care professionals in 37 countries. Next year, The JAMA Network content also will be available in German, Portuguese, Brazilian and Japanese.

Merck Medicus also provides free medical apps physicians can use to access information tailored to their specialty from leading medical publishers, including The JAMA Network and The Lancet.
