Physician innovators share insights into successful team-based care

An AMA webinar Dec. 11 will explore how providing medical care as a physician-led "team sport" can improve care coordination and optimize practice workflow. Register today.

Hosted by the AMA Innovators Committee, this webinar will share insights from physicians who already have implemented reforms in how their practices deliver care. Presenters will describe how their high-performing practices delegate responsibility among medical staff, and participants will be able to take away practical advice for making changes in their own practices.

The webinar will help physicians take the following steps:

  • Identify decisions and processes specific to their practice that should be delegated to staff.
  • Develop practice protocols that maintain physician-level oversight of the care team.
  • Execute a workflow redesign strategy in their practice.
  • Establish a communications strategy that ensures care coordination with other physicians and providers in the health care system.

Physicians can earn continuing medical education credit in the form of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ by participating in this webinar. AMA members can register for free; nonmembers can sign up for $30. If you're not an AMA member, join today.

This webinar is the second of a seven-part AMA series titled "Delivery and payment: Early innovators share what they've learned." Subsequent webinars will offer guidance on improving care through clinical integration, benchmarking practice performance and customizing new payment models to fit individual physician practices.
