Plug in your Medicare reimbursement for CPT code 99213, an established patient visit, then fill in how many extra patients you hope to see. The resulting figure will be your potential new income.

Medicare CPT code 99213 was chosen because it is a common code. Results will vary depending on the nature of patient visits.

If you don't know what 99213 pays, you can get an approximate figure from the CMS Physician Fee Schedule website (http://www.cms.gov/pfslookup/).
