The new chief executive office for the Chicago-based company is Pat Hemingway Hall. She had been the company's president and chief operating officer since November 2007. Sermo expands forumsThe online physician community Sermo has announced an online tool, The Healthcare Exchange. The new forum for health care investors will be available through the Bloomberg Professional Service Web site. Investors will be able to ask questions to physicians and get unfiltered responses, according to Sermo. PHRs join interoperability projectGoogle and Dossia, two large vendors of personal health records, have joined the Continua Health Alliance to promote interoperability between all personal health systems. Continua, which includes vendors and organizations, has already adopted data standards for consumer health devices, health information systems, and home health devices, as well as PHRs. Cigna expands its reachCigna has added health insurance products for small businesses and individuals, the Philadelphia-based company said.
