Terms were not disclosed. McKesson sells health care software and medical supplies and equipment, and Cisco sells networking gear. Standards groups pledge compatibilitySNOMED International and Health Level Seven have signed an agreement under which they will collaborate to make their clinical health care standards compatible with each other to improve interoperability between systems. SNOMED International, Northfield, Ill., is the publisher of SNOMED, a clinical vocabulary. HL7, an Ann Arbor, Mich.-based standards development organization, creates clinical messaging standards. AMIA, AHIMA join forcesThe American Medical Informatics Assn. and the American Health Information Management Assn. have agreed to join forces to develop a common information technology public policy agenda.
