Internet users annoyed by explosion of spam spam spam spam

80% are bothered by deceptive or dishonest content of spam.
76% are bothered by offensive or obscene content of spam.
75% are bothered that they can't stop the flow of spam.
70% say spam has made being online unpleasant or annoying.
55% say they get so much unwanted e-mail that it is sometimes hard to get to the ones they want to read.
52% say spam has made them less trusting of e-mail in general.
30% are concerned that their filtering software may be blocking incoming e-mails that they want.
25% say spam has reduced their overall use of e-mail, and 60% of that group say spam has reduced their e-mail use in a big way.
23% are concerned that filtering software may be blocking their outgoing e-mails.

The soaring volume and unpleasant content of junk e-mail is a growing problem, according to a national telephone survey of 1,380 e-mail users.
