Wellness programs ignored by employees

A quarter of workers know their employers offer corporate wellness programs, but few take advantage of the offerings. A recent Wall Street Journal Online/Harris Interactive Health-Care Poll suggests that employers' and health plans' nascent efforts to encourage people to become more fit face an uphill struggle. Responses from 324 people whose employers offer wellness programs indicated that only 9% participate in one or more offering.
