The Fourth Annual Electronic Health Records Survey, released recently by the Medical Records Institute, showed that the need to share data and improve quality of care are the top reasons why physician group practices and others are implementing electronic health records. The survey asked respondents what clinical factors were driving the need for electronic health records, giving them a list of options and asking them to select all that applied.
