ICD-10-CM Workshops

COMING SOON: Information about workshops occurring in 2013

Now is the time to increase your awareness of one of the biggest changes to hit health care—the transition from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM. And the American Medical Association (AMA) is ready to help you learn, implement, and code with a one-day ICD-10-CM workshop.

In the 2011 workshops, expert instructors
Susan Garrison
and Robin Linker focused on preparing for the switch from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM. Now in 2012, the focus has shifted, and Garrison and Linker concentrate on explaining the details and how-to of ICD-10-CM coding. As an attendee at these one-day workshops you will:

  • Develop and practice your coding skills on several case studies while in the presence of our experts
  • Receive an extensive review of the guidelines and regulations
  • Thoroughly examine documentation requirements and how they affect the way you perform the coding role
  • Ask questions of our experts throughout the eight-hour workshop

Please note that topics, speakers, times, and presentation handouts are subject to change without prior notification.
