CPT® and RBRVS 2014 Annual Symposium

The AMA invites you to join hundreds of your colleagues in meeting and learning from the experts on CPT®, the Resource-Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS) and Medicare payment policy. Symposium faculty includes members of the CPT Advisory Committee, CPT Editorial Panel, AMA/Specialty Society RBS Update Committee (RUC), RUC Advisory Committee, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and contractor medical directors (CMD’s). Each presenter will discuss in detail many of

Register online

You must have a valid credit card to register online. Since
payment confirmations will be sent via email, be sure to provide your email address on the registration form. Please print the confirmation for your records. Symposium confirmation emails will be sent to the registrant only. Please Note: Cancellation of an existing registration made online must be submitted by email to Wendy Carranza no later than Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. A $150 processing fee will be assessed to all cancellations. No refunds will be honored after this date, and there are no refunds for registrants who do not attend without prior notification. If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute since full refunds are not available.

Register by phone

You must have a valid credit card to register by phone. Call the AMA Unified Service Center at (800) 621-8335 to speak directly with an agent; please mention priority code “FBF”. Since payment confirmations will be sent via email, be sure to provide your email address to the agent. Please print the confirmation for your records. Symposium confirmation emails will be sent to the registrant only. The deadline to register by phone is Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013.

The deadline to register for the Symposium by phone, mail or online is 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013.  Onsite registration is available on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and Thursday, Nov. 14 only.

Attention first time attendees! Were you referred by a colleague or friend to the CPT® and RBRVS 2014 Annual Symposium? If so, please provide the name of the person who referred you during registration and they will receive a $25 coupon for an AMA Store purchase during the Symposium or at amastore.com. *To qualify, you must be a first-time attendee and the person who referreed you must attend the Symposium to receive their coupon during registration.

Conference site and Hotel accommodations

The site for this year's Symposium and ICD-10-CM Workshop is the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, located at 540 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. Attendees are responsible
for their own hotel reservations.

Online room reservation is available at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, or you may call the toll-free group reservation number at (877) 303-0104. The AMA group rate is $249 a night for single occupancy and $269 for double occupancy;
a 15.4% tax will also be applied.  Be sure to mention the "American Medical Association (AMA) 2014 CPT Symposium" when booking your room to take advantage of the special group room rate. Remember to write down your hotel confirmation number to
ensure your room reservation. The group rate is only applicable for Nov. 12-15, 2013. Room reservations must be made by Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013; Marriott cannot guarantee room availability after that date. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No additional rooms will be added, and the AMA is unable to assist with room reservations during the Symposium.

Registration and Cancellation Policies

AMA reserves the right to modify, cancel or reschedule any event due to unforeseen circumstances. AMA assumes no responsibility for personal expenses.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of an existing registration made by phone, mail or online must be submitted by email to Wendy Carranza no later than MOnday, Oct. 21, 2013. A $150 processing fee will be assessed to all cancellations. No refunds will be honored after this date, and ther are no refunds for registrants who do not attend without prior notification.  It you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute.

Substitutions

Substitutions (that is, assigning a paid registration to another individual) will be accepted prior to Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. A processing fee of $50 will be invoiced at that time.  Original registrants who release their seat for substitution forfeit all CEUs for completed course work. All fees must be paid prior to the program date. Substitutions are not accepted after Monday, Oct. 21, 2013; no refund will be provided.

No Shows

Those individuals who have paid but do not show for a workshop
or submit a request for a substitution must request that their Symposium materials be shipped to them. CEU certificates will not be awarded because attendance at the Symposium is required. Materials will ship through regular USPS mail using the address provided at the time of registration.

Confirmation Information

A confirmation letter and receipt will be emailed to each attendee who rergisters by phone, mail or online. If you have not received a confirmation email within one month of registering, please send an email to Wendy Carranza to request another copy. Submitting Requests for Refunds, Substitutions and No Shows

Requests must be submitted by email to Wendy Carranza by Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted above). For all requests, please include the following information for the original registrant, and in the case of a substitution, the substitute registrant: name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. Notification of approval will be made within seven days of receipt of the request. Requests will not be accepted by telephone or onsite.

Special needs

The AMA ensures that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently from other individuals because of the absence of auxiliary aids or services. CPT® and RBRVS 2014 Annual Symposium Online Survey

The procedure to claim CEU credit certificates will be handled electronically.
If you intend to claim continuing education credits at the conclusion of the Symposium, please provide your current e-mail address at the time of registration. Provision of this information will assist us in sending you en e-mail request on the last day of the Symposium to complete an online survey regarding the 2014 Symposium. Each attendee must complete the survey in order to claim CEUs.
