Webinar - Medicare Preventive Services Under Affordable Care Act

The passage of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) allows physicians more opportunities to ensure that their Medicare patients are receiving preventive services.  A Dose of Reality: Providing Medicare Preventive Services as Recommended by the Affordable Care Act, a Webinar presented on Sep 19, 2011, identified guidelines for Medicare preventive medicine coding and addressed frequently asked questions about integrating the annual wellness visit into practice.  The presentation also provided an opportunity to integrate the most challenging clinical practice examples with everyday patient requests for preventive services.

This Webinar was presented by Peter A. Hollmann, MD.  Dr. Hollmann is a practicing primary care internal medicine and geriatrics physician in Rhode Island as well as a medical director for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island.  He is the current chairman of the CPT Editorial Panel and past chairman of the CPT® Assistant Editorial Board.  He also served as the CPT representative to the American Medical Association (AMA)/Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) from 2003-2011.
