Past Summits

Founded in 2000, the National Influenza Vaccine Summit is a cooperative effort mounted each year by the AMA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to address and resolve influenza and influenza vaccine issues. Participants include physicians, public health officials and vaccine manufacturers, distributors and consumers, all of whom are aiming for the goals outlined in the CDC Healthy People 2010 initiative for national baseline health.

Keep in touch with the current state of the influenza vaccine supply: track availability with the Influenza Vaccine Availability Tracking System, and develop your own new vaccination efforts using the 2003–2004 Immunize Now! toolkit as a model. Access reports, toolkits and presentations from past summits, including manufacturers’ updates, accounts of and strategies for vaccination awareness campaigns and discussions of public health issues and perspectives, including matters of epidemiology and pandemic preparedness.
