This online module is available for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. It provides an overview of the ChooseMyPlate.gov website and offers tips for physicians on accessing the information and presenting it to patients as part of counseling them on the importance of maintaining a healthy weight. This activity is a part of AMA's Educating Physicians on Controversies and Challenges in Health (EPoCH) program.

- Recognize the importance of the physician's role in addressing healthy eating with patients
- Identify useful information and tools from the ChooseMyPlate website
- Describe misconceptions and barriers to counseling patients about healthy eating
