The AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement® (PCPI®) posts measure sets and guidance documents for review and comment during the 30-day public comment period. The PCPI solicits feedback from PCPI members, quality improvement collaboratives, providers, consumers, public/private purchasers and others with an interest in the measure set.
The PCPI work group reviews comments received, revises and modifies the draft performance measures as deemed appropriate by the work group. The public comments and responses are posted to the PCPI website as part of the voting process.

Draft Anesthesiology and Critical Care Measurement Set
The PCPI convened the Anesthesiology and Critical Care Work Group (Work Group) to assess opportunities for the development of evidence-based performance measures. The Work Group proposes this set of measures to address gaps in care of the surgical and critically ill patient with the aim of optimizing clinical outcomes.
The 30-day comment period begins on Dec. 10, 2013 and will close at 5 p.m. Central on Jan. 14, 2014. All comments are welcome and will be compiled and shared with the work group for consideration.
