AMA Expresses Sympathy to Tornado Victims in Southern States

"On behalf of the physicians of the American Medical Association, I would like to express our deepest sympathies to those affected by a storm system that has spawned more than 100 powerful tornadoes across six states.
This disaster has taken more than 200 American lives and has caused massive damage. As physicians, we understand the tremendous burden this disaster places on the medical and public health community across the South. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have been devastated by the storms.
In the wake of this disaster, open access to relevant articles from the AMA's peer reviewed journal, Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness, will be available on the journal's website."
