Agreement with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
National Specialty Societies accredited by the RCPSC are authorized to award AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ to physicians (MDs and DOs) participating in live activities they certify for credit.
International Conference Recognition (ICR) program
The ICR program recognizes a few conferences presented by international organizations each year and provides physicians with an opportunity to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ at these approved events.
Other CME activities
Physicians may also earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ by participating in CME activities certified through American organizations accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) or an ACCME-recognized state medical society. Accredited providers may designate activities for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ regardless of the location of the activity. A physician attending such an event would receive credit directly from the accredited provider. For a list of accredited providers, visit www.accme.org.
