What are the procedures for filing a complaint (including issues of discrimination and sexual harassment) against a residency program?
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) handles complaints against residency programs. The ACGME Web site has a section on its Web site regarding complaint procedures. Residents can also contact the ACGME at (312) 755-5041 or email at mmiller@acgme.org

How do I resolve issues related to sexual harassment if I am a physician or medical student?
The AMA Women and Minority Services department provides information on AMA policy and guidance regarding issues of sexual harassment. Access information on AMA policies in PolicyFinder . PolicyFinder is an online searchable database of AMA policies.
Where can I get help with a research project?

AMA Survey and Data Resources provides physicians statistics and information on its Access Physician Statistics Now Web site.
The AMA Women Physicians Congress Web site and the AMA Minority Affairs Consortium Web site provide statistical information.
The AMA Bookstore offers products and resources on physician demographics and statistics. Log on to the AMA Bookstore Web site or call 800 621-8335. AMA members receive special rates on most products.
The Association of American Medical Colleges provides information on medical education demographics and statistics.
Where can I find information on AMA policy?
Access information on AMA policies in PolicyFinder . Here you can search and browse information on the AMA House of Delegates, Ethical Opinions, Constitution, Bylaws. Additional information on AMA policy is also available on the AMA Policy Web site.
Where can I find information on physician salaries?
There are a number of resources available for finding information on physician income.
AMA publishes Physician Socioeconomic Statistics. Information on the content of this volume along with ordering information is available online. This volume may be purchased by AMA members and non-members.
The AMA Women Physician Congress Web site provides two tables for AMA members on physician income on its Women Physician Statistics Web site.
AMA Policy Finder provides information on AMA policy regarding the collection of physician income data.

How can I find a physician?
If you are a patient looking for a physician the AMA’s Web site contains a DoctorFinder feature that provides basic professional information on virtually every licensed physician in the United States and its possessions, including more than 690,000 doctors of medicine (MD) and doctors of osteopathy or osteopathic medicine (DO). Some physicians may choose to provide information on languages spoken in their office and/or their race/ethnicity.
The National Medical Association also provides a Physician Locator Service on its Web site that provides information to the general public on locating an African American physician.
