The Medical Student Section is divided into seven geographic Regions. Each Region comes together once a year for an educational and social program designed to further regional cohesiveness and increase the visibility of the MSS. One of the meeting goals is to promote individual members as leaders on the local, state, regional, and national levels. Another goal is to strengthen the MSS involvement of those schools in each Region whose chapters may have weakened over the years, and encourage involvement of those schools whose chapters do not exist. This is an excellent way to get first-timers involved!
Each Region is entitled to a grant of $1000 to help fund one meeting per school year. In order to receive this funding, a completed Proposal Form must be submitted at least 60 days before the meeting. If you are interested in organizing a Region meeting, we have created the Regional Meeting Planner to assist you. This guide gives you all the information you will need to plan a successful meeting!
