RFS meetings and events


Each year, the Resident and Fellow Section Assembly meets for an Annual Meeting in June and an Interim Meeting in November. The AMA National Advocacy Conference is also held annually, in conjunction with the medical student and RFS Lobby Day.

National Advocacy Conference

The American Medical Association, leaders in organized medicine and members of Congress converge to address critical health care issues.

AMA-RFS Research Poster Symposium

The Symposium is held annually during the Interim Meeting and is designed to give trainees the opportunity to display their original work among peers and compete for cash prizes. Abstracts may be submitted for poster presentation in one of four categories: clinical medicine, basic research, medical education or health policy, and clinical vignettes.

Resident and Fellow/Medical Student Lobby Day

Held in conjunction with the National Advocacy Conference, Lobby Day gives residents and fellows a real voice to create change as you speak to our nation's leaders while lobbying on Capitol Hill.
