AMA ePhysician Profiles are used extensively by organizations that verify physician credentials directly (e.g., licensing boards, hospitals, group practices, managed care organizations, physician recruiters), credentialing organizations that verify physician credentials for a third party, and other organizations that need background information on physicians.
