We are pleased to invite you to attend the 2008 State Advocacy Roundtable Meeting. The meeting will be held August 7-9, 2008, at the Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington. The roundtable format will follow past meetings. Although our numbers have grown over the years, we continue to strive for an informal atmosphere and a useful exchange of ideas and experiences. We strongly encourage you to attend and participate actively in the Roundtable. It is our intention to keep the actual presentations short and concise, in order to allow ample opportunity for attendees to discuss and strategize on issues of interest. This year’s meeting, like those in the past, should be informative, useful, and another great opportunity to catch up with your colleagues.

The Advocacy Resource Center (ARC) will host an opening reception on the evening of Thursday, August 7th. On Friday, August 8th, the meeting is scheduled until mid-afternoon, with a hosted luncheon and an informal group dinner. The meeting will conclude at noon on Saturday, August 9th. The agenda for the roundtable, as always, will be set in advance by the participants. With that goal in mind, please take a moment to complete the appropriate area when registering for the meeting. We hope to have individuals from the Federation with particular expertise in an area lead the discussion. Therefore, if you would like to volunteer to do so, please indicate your willingness on the form provided or contact us directly.
