Current CC&B Projects

The Council on Constitution and Bylaws issued the following reports for the 2008 Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates:

• Report 1: (Word, 34KB) Editorial Corrections to AMA Bylaws (an informational report that will provide updates to the AMA Bylaws related to the public member on the AMA Board of Trustees and the apportionment of delegates from each specialty society represented in the AMA House of Delegates)
• Report 2: (Word, 44KB) Changes in AMA Bylaws related to the Section on Medical Schools
• Report 3: (Word, 40KB) Changes in AMA Bylaws to Promote Representative Equity at the MSS Business Meeting; and
• Report 4: (Word, 42KB) National Medical Student Organization Representation at Medical Student Section Business Meetings

For the upcoming I-08 meeting of the House of Delegates, the Council will be issuing an advance report to modify AMA Bylaws related to nominations for election to AMA Councils.

In addition, the Council is working with the AMA Speakers to consolidate into a single reference manual the Procedures of the House of Delegates (Word, 476KB), Guide to AMA House of Delegates Meetings (Word, 609KB), and existing AMA governance policies.
