The nomination period for the second annual AMA-WPC Physician Mentor Recognition Program has begun.  This program provides a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge those physicians who contribute in small, often unsung ways to your individual success. These individuals may have steered you into the specialty you love, helped you find a work/life balance, guided you through your professional society or unknowingly served as a role model for you or others.

Through the AMA-WPC Physician Mentor Recognition Program, you can recognize those who have made a difference in your professional life. Download a nomination form (Word, (95KB) and flyer (PDF, 328KB) for the 2008 Physician Mentor Regcognition Program. The deadline for nominations is July 31.

In turn, the AMA-WPC will:

• Issue your nominee a special certificate
• Celebrate them during September Women in Medicine Month
• Highlight their contributions through various AMA vehicles such as eVoice and the AMA-WPC Web site
• Recognize your mentor through a special commemorative book to be distributed at the 2008 Interim Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates in November in Orlando, Florida
