Craig Anderson, MD

Craig W. Anderson, MD is currently serving as president of the Ohio State Medical Association.  Dr. Anderson practices neonatology with Central Ohio Newborn Medicine, Inc., and is currently the director of Newborn Medicine for both Mount Carmel Medical Center and Grant Medical Center. He also serves as clinical assistant professor of Pediatrics at Ohio State University.

Dr. Anderson has been an American Medical Association (AMA) member since 1980 and has been a delegate to the AMA House of Delegates since 1995.  He also serves on the Board of Trustees of both Muskingum College and the Easter Seals of Central and Southeast Ohio.

In 2005, Dr. Anderson won both the March of Dimes Health Leadership Award for Physician Academia and Columbus Monthly’s “Top Docs” Awards in Pediatrics. He was awarded the Mount Carmel Foundation’s Dr. Tom E. Lewis Award in 2006 for exemplary leadership, civic involvement, exceptional patient care and leadership development in his community.

Dr. Anderson has been actively involved with the AMA Foundation’s Uniting for the Future of Medicine (UFM) campaign, by leading the Ohio State Honor Fund and serving as a member of the UFM Steering Committee.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Muskingum College, Dr. Anderson completed his medical degree at Ohio State University Medical School.

Dr. Anderson lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Deborah, and their three children.
