ISTEP current projects

Currently, ISTEP investigators and educators are working together on two research projects. The first project funded by the States' Attorneys General is to develop educational strategies to help physicians manage the undue influence of pharmaceutical industry marketing and promotion on physician prescribing. The grant funds were made available from the Neurontin off-label prescribing settlement.

The second study funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse focuses upon the development of educational materials for medical students and resident physicians that will promote the prevention of substance abuse, and the diagnosis and treatment of patients with substance abuse.
