DOQ-IT has a worksheet that provides a template for calculating the potential financial benefits of an EMR and AAFP has a separate sheet for estimating your costs . DOQ-IT has also recently added an ROI worksheet which can help you calculate your numbers.

DOQ-IT also has an ROI “discussion guide” . While it does not provide you with a spreadsheet to calculate an ROI, it provides you with the considerations for evaluating the potential ROI for your practice.
