Key Communications, including Contacts for Opt-in Newsletters

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to modify your address on all AMA databases at the same time. There also are a number of member-only programs that require opt-in participation. We have provided contact information to make these processes as easy as possible.

AMA eVoice—A weekly news summary that highlights the latest and most concise medical news and information available as a service to physicians and medical students nationwide. Includes opt-in provision for news from special groups, including Young Physicians, women, minorities, educators, etc. eVoice is the AMA-YPS' primary method of communicating with its members.

AMA-YPS Advocacy Network Listserv—Periodic alerts on issues of concern to young physicians. E-mail AMA-YPS to subscribe or unsubscribe.

AMA-YPS mailings related to the Assembly meetings--E-mail AMA-YPS to change your mailing address or make sure you are on our mailing list.

Credentialing of AMA-YPS Representatives for Assembly meetings.

AMAdvocate--Legislative updates (approximately 12 E-mail messages per year).

AMAdvocate--Concise updates of pending federal legislation that impacts organized medicine. Messages typically include links to more in-depth information and ways individual physicians can take action to help advance medicine’s advocacy agenda.

AMAlert--Urgent Action Alerts (approximately 10-15 E-mail messages per year). Typically these messages are sent just prior to important votes on the floor of the House or Senate, and require immediate attention. Simple instructions on how to take quick action via our Toll-Free Hotline and a link to send an E-mail through the Grassroots Action Center provide instant access to elected officials.

American Medical Political Action Committee updates.

AMA Member Connect® Survey program—An ongoing member survey program that lets you provide input on key issues and AMA priorities. Survey results are published online.

AMA Voice (only if you are an AMA member and are not currently receiving)—Print publication that clearly articulates the urgent needs and aspirations of America's physicians. Published bimonthly, AMA Voice captures the spirit and passion that binds physicians together, celebrates their achievements and connects them with colleagues locally and with the AMA nationally.
