States opening influenza vaccine to all, Summit partners release press release encouraging influenza vaccination
There are now many states with ample vaccine to vaccinate the high risk populations that could not receive a vaccine earlier in the season. As a result, the Summit has issued a press release (PDF, 93KB requires Adobe© Reader©) urging those who need influenza vaccination to seek out and receive vaccine, and encouraging providers to continue to provide influenza vaccine as long as vaccine is available.
In fact, many states have now lifted all restrictions on influenza vaccination and anyone seeking protection from influenza this year can receive a vaccine. As of January 17th, 2005, the following 16 states have lifted all restrictions on influenza vaccination
