Minority Issues Committee

The Minority Issues Committee (MIC) assists the MSS in addressing issues of concern to minority medical students. The committee also works to identify minority student needs and increase membership awareness and education on minority issues. This committee works closely with the AMA Minority Affairs Consortium (MAC).

The AMA-MAC is a group of physicians and medical students dedicated to addressing the issues and concerns of underrepresented US physicians and improving the health of minority populations. Membership is open to all AMA members. Non-AMA physicians and students can join on a limited basis.
