2006 MSS Region 4 Meeting
"Becoming A Patient Advocate"

University of Florida - Jacksonville, Florida
January 13-15, 2005

The meeting theme this year, “Becoming a Patient Advocate,” empowered medical students from across the Southeast to use the AMA to advocate for their patients. The workshops were designed to educate students about various patient populations including minorities, women, children, geriatrics and the homeless, and equipped them with the resources to initiate and further develop advocacy programs at the local, state, and national levels.

The regional meeting was held at the University of Florida-Jacksonville. The Welcome Banquet was at the University Club in Downtown Jacksonville and lodging was at the Hampton Inn. See the full agenda below.
