The AMA Alliance

The AMA Alliance is the primary volunteer and fundraising force behind the AMA Foundation. Its members are AMA physicians and their spouses - today totaling more than 35,000 with a nationwide network of 600 state and local Alliances.

Founded in 1952, the AMA Alliance is committed to advancing the mission of the AMA and the Foundation through its numerous community service projects and fundraising activities. Every year, the AMA Alliance contributes over $1,000,000 to the Foundation’s Scholars Fund to provide tuition assistance for medical school students, and (more recently) The Fund For Better Health grant-making initiative. During its 50-year partnership with the Foundation, the Alliance has contributed more than $55,000,000.
