Advance payments may be available for physicians experiencing cash flow problems due to NPI

The AMA continues to hear from physicians who are unable to bill Medicare due to NPI problems.  Medicare has said certain physicians may qualify for advance payments.  Physicians who are still experiencing cash flow problems due to claims processing problems related to the NPI are encouraged to contact their carrier to discuss their situation and whether they qualify for advance payments.
