e-mail story | print storyCase studies in disease prevention and health promotion
Improving Adolescent Immunizations: A Primer for Physicians is designed to assist health care providers with the issues surrounding vaccinating adolescents.
The primer examines the new recommendations for adolescent immunizations and the rationale behind them. Key concepts include adolescent “catch up” immunizations and special adolescent populations. The primer also provides information on the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program and the Vaccine Adverse event Reporting System. At the practice level, the monograph reviews topics of payment, maximizing rates of immunization, and ways to enhance relationships with adolescents and their parents.
