Erin E. Tracy, MD, MPH

At-Large Representative
Boston, Massachusetts
Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

It has truly been an honor for me to serve as the Chair of the Women Physicians Congress. This year we have worked on many exciting initiatives, as our membership has grown from approximately 4,000 to now 63,000 members. Along with this significant growth come phenomenal opportunities. During my Governing Council tenure we have focused on many issues, including parity in promotions, physician re-entry and pay disparities, work I am committed to continuing.

Our gala reception, held in November, was extraordinarily well attended and reviewed. I am particularly excited about the new physician mentoring recognition award. I serve as the director in my institution of both our faculty and our resident mentoring programs, and I believe mentoring is essential for professional health and development. My role as an obstetrician/ gynecologist reflects my long standing interest in women’s health.

I’m also keenly aware of many of the aspects of professional life that can be challenging for women physicians. I work full time, in an academic practice, while actively serving in many leadership roles. In addition to my involvement in the American Medical Association, I recently served on the Executive Board of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. I work very hard to maintain a balance between my work and home life. I am privileged to be the mother of 6 year old twin daughters and a 3 year old son.

Thank you very much for your consideration of my candidacy. I hope to continue to serve this incredible organization.
