2006-2007 AMA-MSS Regional Infrastructure Task Force (RITForce)

Welcome to the RITForce Web site! The RITForce was commissioned by the GC in 2003 to improve our MSS' regional infrastructure. Over the past four years, we have studied approaches to equally representing our seven regions within the AMA-MSS Assembly. This site contains a wealth of information and documents generated by the RITForce over the past few years.

As we look towards A-07, the RITForce seeks feedback from MSS members on the best way to achieve regional equity. Based on a fall 2006 survey sent to each of the 192 campuses (both central campuses and satellite campuses) with a vote in the MSS Assembly, the RITForce has written up six proposals for achieving regional parity. Each proposal explains the rationale motivating it, as well as the implications on the MSS Assembly. Our primary goal is to help you (the MSS member) better understand this multifactorial issue, so that you can provide us feedback and suggestion (by e-mailing Chirag Patel, RITForce Chair, by no later than April 1, 2007) prior to A-07. Please take time to digest the information presented here – you will have a richer understanding of the MSS regional infrastructure for it!
