Women Physicians Congress

e-mail story | print story

The Women Physicians Congress (WPC) has changed...
• New expanded WPC membership

Our mission remains the same:
• Increase the number, voice, and influence of women physicians.
• Provide a forum for women in medicine mentoring and leadership development.
• Advance advocacy and understanding of women’s health issues.
• Enhance professional options for balancing family/career responsibilities.
• Work through the WPC State and Specialty Society Liaisons to accomplish our goals.

Now representing more women in medicine:
The WPC has moved from a sign-up membership of 4,000 to a powerful new umbrella group representing over 63,000 women physicians and medical student.  All women AMA members have been automatically enrolled in the WPC and are now eligible to run for office, vote on issues, and actively participate.

Join the AMA WPC today:
Our male AMA colleagues are also welcome - contact us to “opt-in” to the WPC.  (Please note: Current WPC members who are not AMA members will no longer be included in the WPC after March 1, 2007.)  To join the AMA call 1-800-262-3211 or join online.
