Texas Tech University

I am currently a third year at Texas Tech in Amarillo. I went to Texas Tech for undergrad as well where I obtained a degree in general studies to pursue multiple areas such as English, Spanish, and Biology. I enjoy spending time with my three dogs and my family here in Amarillo. I also enjoy college sports, especially football and watching my nightly tv shows. I plan to pursue dermatology, but I am really enjoying getting a taste of everything else!

He is the Vice-President of Graduate/Professional Student Advocacy for the Harvard Graduate Council and the Massachusetts Medical Society's Violence Committee. He graduated with honors in neuroscience from Bates College and spent time teaching eighth grade math before starting medical school. Outside of anatomy lab, he pursues interests in child and adolescent health and bioethics, and spends as much time as he can running, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors.

Indiana University School of Medicine

I'm a third year at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and am currently learning firsthand the fun and joy of sleep deprivation. I’m also a native Hoosier with occasional delusions of relocation. I graduated from Northwestern University in 2005 with a degree in Astrophysics (long story), and dived right into med school from there. I rowed on the crew team for four years, which did wonders for my morale, and in all likelihood saved my sanity. I enjoy reading (to a fault, some would say), bicycling, and playing the piano.
As to my ethics experience, I had a lot of fun last year. It’s so much more satisfying to actually do something about issues you care about instead of just talk about them. I’m really looking forward to the next year.

University of South Florida College of Medicine

I am a mommy to an awesome 4 year old boy, Caden. He keeps me very busy playing Little League and riding ATVs. Together with my husband (and the dog!), we love to go out on the boat, hang out at the beach, and watch a lot of movies.
My family is my life and so med school is my hobby – I think this viewpoint makes it a lot more enjoyable for me than for many other students.
I am from south Florida. I did my undergrad and now med school here at USF. I majored in Biomedical Sciences and minored in mathematics and biophysics. My honors concentration was in Bioethics, where I fell in love with debating issues and hearing all the different viewpoints that can come out of one small topic. Florida’s been great to us, but who knows where residency will take us. I’m always open to try something new.

The University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine

Currently, I am an M2 at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. I also received my undergraduate degree from Mizzou in Biological Sciences. My interest in medical ethics first came while taking some philosophy classes as an undergraduate and has grown since then. As of right now, I am not sure what field in medicine I would like to go into, but I really love working with kids.

University of Toledo College of Medicine

I’m currently a second year medical student at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, and I spent my college years at Miami University (OH) where I received a B.A. with majors in both Economics and Zoology. I am our current chapter Chair, and I have served as Delegate to the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) as well as to the AMA-MSS at A07. My interests include snowboarding, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the economy (seriously!). My involvement in the AMA-MSS has been incredibly rewarding so far, and I consider it a privilege to serve on the Committee for Medical Ethics. It is my goal to play a role in engaging the AMA-MSS in dialogue about important ethical issues facing our healthcare system today ranging from healthcare access to medical professionalism.
