2009 AMA Medical Student, Resident, and Fellow Lobby Day

March 8-9, 2009
L'Enfant Plaza Hotel
Washington, D.C.

What is Lobby Day?

Lobby Day is an excellent opportunity to increase your awareness of legislative issues affecting medicine, to foster relationships with legislators through political involvement, and to gain real-life education in the practical aspects of physician advocacy. Lobby Day activities, which span two days this year, include interactive educational sessions on effective advocacy and lobbying techniques, briefings on legislative issues currently before Congress, and a full afternoon on Capitol Hill meeting with legislators and their staffs.

Registration

Lobby Day registration is now open. The registration deadline is Feb. 1.

Please do not register for Lobby Day until you are sure that you will be able to attend.

Agenda

A draft agenda is not yet available. However, please plan to arrive in Washington on Sunday afternoon, as Lobby Day events are tentatively scheduled to begin early Sunday evening.
