Managed care litigation

In response to increasingly unfair managed care business practices, individual physicians and state and county medical associations have brought class action lawsuits challenging the legality of these practices. The AMA’s Litigation Center has initiated its own legal actions against health plans as well as supporting other lawsuits through filing "friend of the court" briefs.
