Office Hours with Dr. Carmel
As president of America’s largest physicians organization, AMA President Peter Carmel, MD, wants to stay connected to the medical community he represents. AMA members have said they want a way to provide input into what the AMA was doing and how the AMA was doing it. Office Hours with Dr. Carmel gives them exactly that.
Office Hours is an hour-long call that provides an interactive forum for two-way discussion between Dr. Carmel and AMA members. Ask Dr. Carmel a question about an issue that’s important to you or share a particular concern. Participants can submit questions ahead of time or ask them during the call. After the call, Dr. Carmel will share your thoughts with the AMA Board of Trustees.
At the outset of each call, Dr. Carmel also provides a brief update on new developments happening within the profession and organized medicine. But the majority of the time is devoted to letting AMA members say what’s on their minds.
