Protecting the Business of Medicine
This campaign is designed to protect physicians' freedom to practice medicine and includes issues related to corporate practice of medicine, and certificate of need laws. With an increased concern about the appropriate use of state health care dollars, this campaign also includes information on state legislative efforts to ensure the integrity of health care spending, including laws related to physician self-referral, anti-kickback, and fraud and abuse.
Below is a sampling of the state advocacy tools that exist related to this campaign. For additional information, please contact Kim Horvath, JD, Legislative Attorney.
