AMA-YPS Young at Heart Award
The AMA Young Physicians Section (YPS) Young at Heart Award was first given in 1993. Nominees must be AMA members not eligible for section membership, whose support and guidance have strengthened the AMA-YPS through:
- organizational aid (such as developing a local young physicians section)
- support of YPS issues in reference committees/caucuses or on the floor of the AMA House
- support of YPS leadership development or the promotion of YPS leaders
The deadline for nominations has been extended to February 1, 2013. Nominations must come from AMA-YPS Assembly members. The AMA-YPS Governing Council will consider all nominees, make a decision on the award recipient, and announce the winner at the 2013 Annual Meeting.
