More physicians are working in non-traditional and/or multiple positions; job sharing; withdrawing from the workforce for periods of time; and/or working reduced hours or part-time. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the AMA Women Physicians Section are committed to working together to explore these important workforce issues and help our members find the best practice options for them and their patients.
American Academy of Pediatrics
The American Academy of Pediatrics Women In Pediatrics website provides information on part-time work issues for pediatricians.
The American Academy of Pediatrics Reentry website provides resources for physicians and organizations on physician reentry into the workforce issues.
American Medical Association
A database with over 7,800 graduate medical education programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, as well as over 200 combined specialty programs. Users can search the database for programs that offer part-time or shared graduate medical education programs
