About the AMA-WPC
The Women Physicians Congress (WPC) has changed...
• New expanded AMA-WPC membership
Our mission remains the same:
• Increase the number, voice, and influence of women physicians.
• Provide a forum for women in medicine mentoring and leadership development.
• Advance advocacy and understanding of women’s health issues.
• Enhance professional options for balancing family/career responsibilities.
• Work through the AMA-WPC State and Specialty Society Liaisons to accomplish our goals.
Now representing more women in medicine:
The AMA-WPC has moved from a sign-up membership of 4,000 to a powerful new umbrella group representing over 63,000 women physicians and medical student. All women AMA members have been automatically enrolled in the AMA-WPC and are now eligible to run for office, vote on issues, and actively participate.
Join the AMA WPC today:
Our male AMA colleagues are also welcome - contact us to “opt-in” to the AMA-WPC. (Please note: Current WPC members who are not AMA members will no longer be included in the AMA-WPC after March 1, 2007.) To join the AMA call 1-800-262-3211 or join online.
